We had two new photos a few days ago, but the 20th Anniversary issue of Empire has debuted some more photos from Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones, including more information on the film. The film is completed and is going to be released in December so it can have proper award consideration, and Brian Eno does score the whole film. The photos provide a first look of Mark Wahlberg (Max Payne) as Jack Salmon, Susan Sarandon (Speed Racer) as Grandma Lynn, and Saoirse Ronan (Atonement) as Susie Salmon. The more I see or hear about The Lovely Bones, the more excited I get. It’s nice to see a glimpse of Mark Wahlberg as Jack Salmon, considering he was my favorite character in the book and the most heart felt character. Susan Sarandon looks just right for Grandma Lynn, but hopefully her character is used better in the film then she was in the book. Ronan will probably fair well as Susie Salmon; she’s definitely got the acting chops to pull off the role.
