If you are looking for a wholly untainted experience this December when sitting down for Anchorman: The Legend Continues, then you didn’t click this headline, so let’s proceed. We’ve received word of some big-name cameos (some mostly hidden and others not so much) and now news of another batch have made their way online.
We already know that Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson and David Koechner are all returning, while Harrison Ford, John C. Reilly, Kristen Wiig, James Marsden, Meagan Good, Josh Lawson, Greg Kinnear, Nicole Kidman and Dylan Baker will be added.
Now, we’ve got word from the set that Adam McKay has added the comedic duo of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to the ensemble in unknown roles, while rumor has it that Sacha Baron Cohen will be playing a rival anchor. There’s even an unsubstantiated talk that Will Smith may stop by, but regardless, McKay will be doing as promised and filling his cast to the brim with recognizable faces. Check out the photo of Fey and Poehler on set below, as well as Ron Burgundy taking down a shark, thanks to Pacific Coast News/OLV.
Update: Liam Neeson has also been spotted on set. Check out a still below from OLV.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues opens on December 20th.
