The trailer for Neil Marshall‘s (Dog Soldiers, The Descent, Doomsday) Centurion premiered last week. The film, which stars Michael Fassbender, Dominic West, and Olga Kurylenko has been picked up by Magnolia. Variety reports they plan a summer release for the violent medieval action flick. They have a great line-up for their second Six Shooter Film Series. Centurion rounds out the list which includes Bronson, Red Cliff, Ong Bak 2, District 13: Ultimatum, and The Warlords.
Marshall’s film is set in Britain, A.D. 117. and follows Quintus Dias, the sole survivor of a Pictish raid on a Roman frontier fort, marches north with General Virilus’ legendary Ninth Legion, under orders to wipe the Picts from the face of the Earth and destroy their leader, Gorlacon.
