ScreenRant brings us news that Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the writers behind Star Trek, Transformers and Fringe are now producing a film called Now You See Me. The spec script is written by Prince of Persia co-writer and Remember The Titans director Boaz Yakin as well as newcomer Edward Ricourt. The film is a heist film with magic elements, it actually sounds really intriguing. Read the quote below and see for yourself.
“[The story] pits a crack FBI squad in a game of cat-and-mouse against a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.”
I think this could be a real interesting film if executed properly. I love heist films and I’m really interested to see how the magic elements will play out. Kurtzman and Orci have proved themselves as stand-out blockbuster writers and I think with the right cast and director this could turn into a great movie.
