Cory Goodman, the writer behind Scott Stewart‘s continually delayed Priest, is teaming up with Jeremy Lott to adapt IDW Publishing’s graphic novel Lore, Heat Vision reports.
Ashley Wood (whose blog you can follow here) and T.P. Louise created the comic, which focuses on “mythological creatures” and tells the story of “a young man who reluctantly becomes a member of an elite secret order charged with protecting humanity from the beasts of folklore who invade our world.”
Andrew Lazar‘s Mad Chance and Rick Jacobs‘ Circle of Confusion are going to produce and hope to launch “an action-adventure franchise in the vein of “Men in Black.”
Goodman also wrote the remake of David Cronenberg‘s The Brood, which The Crazies director Breck Eisner is attached to. His co-writer Lott was behind the medieval action spec script Man at Arms. The duo who wrote the comics also sold the rights to World War Robot to Jerry Bruckheimer at last year’s Comic-Con.
Are you a fan of Lore? Looking forward to a possible franchise?
