Liam Neeson continues to feed his blockbuster addiction as he has just joined Peter Berg‘s Battleship, Deadline reports. Just this year, Neeson starred in Clash of the Titans, The A-Team and will provide his voice for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader as well as a small cameo in Paul Haggis‘ The Next Three Days this fall.
As for Battleship, he will play Admiral Shane, the father of Brooklyn Decker who is engaged to lead Taylor Kitsch. Alexander Skarsgaard is Kitsch’s older brother and pop star Rihanna is making her feature film debut as crew mate and “a weapons specialist.” Sigh. Battleship is currently shooting in Hawaii and is set for a May 25, 2012 release.
