According to First Showing, Louis Leterrier, the man who brought us The Incredible Hulk and Clash of the Titans has his eye on a project called Gravity. Not to be confused with the Alfonso Cuaron project of the same name, this project is being describe as Taken meets The Day After Tomorrow. The plot revolves around a man who must find his missing son as the world stops spinning and Earth loses it’s gravity.
While there aren’t many details known yet, the film certainly does seem interesting as far as plot goes. I enjoyed both The Day After Tomorrow and Taken and a mash-up of the two plots would be very cool.
Seeing as Louis is stepping away from Clash of the Titans 2 it looks like he may really be going after this project. While the film may end up being butchered Hollywood-style a la Titans, I think it’s could be something great with that premise. Maybe Liam Neeson can star and Jake Gyllenhaal can play the son?
What do you think of this project?
