Ah, lesbian werewolf romances, isn’t that well dried up already? Apparently not, as Bradley Rust Gray‘s Jack and Diane continues to gain traction in the indie film world, now with the first still, courtesy of Magnolia. The film concerns two girls, Jack (Riley Keough) and Diane (Juno Temple) who love each other even though one of them is a werewolf. The rest of the cast includes pop singer Kylie Minogue, Cara Seymour, Dane DeHaan, Michael Chernus and Lou Taylor Pucci.

Check out the still below:

Nothing too crazy. No teeth, no blood, no guts. No…faces really. Honestly, not much to look at.

Nevermind that anyway. Here’s the coolest bit of news concerning this strange, little project: the Brothers Quay, the stop-motion geniuses who’ve given us such great animation pieces as Streets of Crocodiles, will direct the animated sequences in Jack and Diane. [The Playlist]

Things just got a bit stranger, and eminently more intriguing.

Are you excited for Jack and Diane? The animated sequences?
