Martin Scorsese is deep into production on his latest film The Wolf of Wall Street — as evidence in a few batches of set photos — but the cast has yet to be completed etched out. With a ensemble that already includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Rob Reiner, Kenneth Choi, Cristin Milioti, P.J. Byrne, Ethan Suplee, Max Hoffman, Katarina Cas and Jon Favreau, another last-minute addition has come in.
Variety reports that Christine Ebersole has been cast in the role of DiCaprio’s mother, as her son is entrenched the true-life story of crime in the financial sector and his personal downfall. The Tony award-winning actress has been working steadily since the ’80s, most recently seen in the TV show Sullivan & Son and will pop in the romantic comedy The Big Wedding next year.
Scripted by Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos), there’s no telling how large of a role Ebersole will have, but she makes another fine addition to the great ensemble Scorsese has put together. If you want even more from Wall Street, which should hit theaters late next year, one can see some action on a yacht below in a video recently captured following some set photos.
