Thanks to a reply to a message board post on producer Don Murphy’s web site by Roberto Orci, it can now be confirmed that Alex Kurtzman and Orci are no longer involved with the Transformers series:

So what does this mean for Transformers 3? It means that full writing duties now fall on Ehren Kruger who is the only remaining writer from Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. Many have named Kruger as much as Bay as the main reason for the crude characters in Revenge of The Fallen but as along as Spielberg remains closely involved and they can undo the terrible wrongs from second, then I have faith.
