After winning the weekend with Megamind, Dreamworks Animation’s next feature is a sequel to their 2008 mega-hit Kung Fu Panda. The original grossed a massive $631m worldwide, but directors Mark Osborne and John Stevenson won’t be returning for Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom. Instead, head of story on the original, Jennifer Yuh, is taking on the sequel.

Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, David Cross and James Hong are all returning. The new cast additions are Victor Garber, Michelle Yeoh, Gary Oldman, James Woods and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Vlicious (via First Showing) found the first teaser for the film, which you can check out below. I enjoyed the first quite a bit and will be looking forward to this.

Synopsis: Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five – Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. It is up to Po and The Furious Five to journey across China to face this threat and vanquish it. But how can Po stop a weapon that can stop kung fu?
