Today we have the results from Europe’s largest motion-capture production yet and it’s not terribly promising. While James Cameron delivered a watershed moment in terms of technology with his blockbuster Avatar, the latest film harnessing the same technique, and certainly style, looks to not live up to that adventure.
Reported back in May, it seems as though a lengthly post-production is well on its way as the first trailer has hit for Reinhard Klooss’ Tarzan 3D. Starring Kellan Lutz and Spencer Locke, while this trailer has some stirring score, it looks more like a test reel than anything else. Featuring our lead in character running around the jungle with apes, there is an ultimately cheap vibe to the animation. Check it below thanks to Animatie (via The Playlist), along with a 7-and-a-half-minute behind-the-scenes featurette.
