After taking a five-year break from studio offerings, Keanu Reeves will return in a major way this fall. Not only does he have Universal’s massive-budget action spectacle 47 Ronin, but hitting VOD this month and theaters soon after a TIFF premiere, we have his directorial debut, Man of Tai Chi. Tonight we get another glimpse of both as new trailers and posters have landed.
First up, the theatrical trailer for this directorial debut certainly has us more intrigued then his VFX-heavy studio tentpole, as it looks to contain some throwback ’80s charm, following an underground fight club. As for 47 Ronin, if anything, these two foreign teasers clearly reveal the fact that the studio is aiming this one will contact with international audiences. We’re hoping a surprise is in store, but Carl Rinsch‘s debut looks a tad uninspired. Check out both trailers below, along with posters, and let us know what you think.
Man of Tai Chi opens on November 1st after a VOD bow later this month, while 47 Ronin hits on Christmas.
