King of the Hill scribes Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck are in negotiations with Universal and Judd Apatow, through Apatow Productions, to sell their pitch: a comedy revolving around actors who devote time to helping others. Gregory and Huyck recently wrote and directed A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, a comedy starring Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte and Lake Bell.

THR reports that the project is not intended to be a Apatow-directed vehicle. The filmmaker will serve as a producer, as he has on comedies such as Get Him To The Greek and the upcoming Bridesmaids.

Although little is known about the project, one imagines it’ll mock these heart-in-the-right-place actors, while also keeping its own heart…in the right place, as most Apatow projects do.

What do you think of this pitch? Worth paying for? Worth making?
