Josh Brolin will follow up his busy 2010 campaign – which included performances in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Jonah Hex and True Grit – by embodying a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones in Barry Sonnenfeld‘s Men in Black III. Jones, of course, played Agent K in the first two films, and will also star in the upcoming sequel, though it’s Brolin‘s seemingly convincing portrayal – the physical resemblance in these set photos is eye-opening – that could end up getting much of the attention. Will Smith too will reprise his co-starring role and will be surrounded by a supporting cast that includes Emma Thompson, Alice Eve (She’s Out of My League) and Rip Torn. David Koepp (Spider-Man, War of the Worlds) penned the screenplay alongside Etan Cohen and Jeff Nathanson. The film will be released in 3D on May 25, 2012.
