Fresh off of The Imitation Game, Morten Tyldum is back with a film that will hopefully live up to the delightfully fun Headhunters. Ahead of a release this December, the first trailer has now landed for the sci-fi adventure mind-bender Passengers, which stars blockbuster-go-to’s Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence.
The plot concerns a spacecraft carrying the titular voyagers, which has a malfunction that causes two members (the steamy stars) of the journey to awaken 90 years early from cryostasis, or its sci-fi equivalent in this film. Mystery, quips, on-screen chemistry, and mayyybe some romance ensue as the pair question why they’ve been awoken, and what comes next.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are two passengers onboard a spaceship transporting them to a new life on another planet. The trip takes a deadly turn when their hibernation pods mysteriously wake them 90 years before they reach their destination.
