According to SuperHeroHype, Hugh Jackman has dropped out of director Kevin Lima‘s Avon Man to spend this fall training for his follow up to 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
From a script by Hitch scribe Kevin Bisch, Avon Man concerns an unemployed car dealer who relies on his charm to become a successful, male “Avon Lady.” Since Lima directed Disney’s live-action fairy tale Enchanted, a light and frothy tone would be expected, with Jackman‘s mega-watt charisma carrying the day.
Now, it seems, Jackman has bailed out to put Wolvie front and center. Since his role as Wolverine in the X-Men films propelled Hugh Jackman into the realm of international super-stardom, who can blame him for wanting to whip himself into fighting shape for another run at his signature role? After all, given that The Usual Suspects screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie is reportedly back with Bryan Singer, with the duo exploring Wolvie’s samurai origins, there’s plenty to be excited about.
Do you think it’s wise for Hugh Jackman to focus solely on Wolverine 2? Let us know!
