After having picked up both Enter the Void and Red Riding yesterday, IFC decided to not let up while announcing today they will also be snapping up squirm-master Todd Solondz‘s new film Life During Wartime.
It will get the typical VOD/small theatrical run that IFC Films is known for. Unlike Enter the Void, this seems like it will really benefit from that. Smaller films like ones from Solondz play well at home and you can avoid the given awkwardness of watching his films with an audience. I feel that Solondz is the John Cassavetes of his generation and I support anything he bravely chooses to explore.
Life During Wartime will hit theaters/VOD this summer.
Are you looking forward to Life During Wartime or do Todd Solondz’s films put you off?
