You have to respect the “not giving a f*ck” attitude Tommy Lee Jones has going for him. The seasoned actor is literally stepping into his No Country For Old Men character, especially in a recent interview with Vulture (via JoBlo). When asked about the plot of the currently shooting Men In Black III, he has this to say:
I don’t really know what the plotline is. There are vast pieces of the script yet unwritten.
Granted, he is only a small part of the film, while Josh Brolin takes over his character at a younger age. At least he is having “a hell of a lot of fun” with Will Smith on set. Jones didn’t stop there with the blockbuster talk. When asked about what his role in Captain America: The First Avenger actually entails, he had the following to say:
Yeah, I ask myself that same question every day! The character I play is the one you’ve seen in a thousand movies: the gruff, skeptical officer overseeing a team of talented, slightly sarcastic, specially talented soldiers.
It certainly sounds like a lot of prep work for the man. With Captain America hitting theaters this summer and Men In Black III in May 2012, we will just have to wait and see what is in store, because we certainly won’t get any answers from Tommy Lee Jones.
Which phoned-in (i.e. perfectly fitting) Tommy Lee Jones role are you looking forward to more?
