Following up his Charlize Theron and Diablo Cody reteam Tully earlier this year, Jason Reitman has another film set to debut in 2018. The Front Runner, based on the book “All the Truth is Out” by Matt Bai, will world premiere this weekend at Telluride Film Festival followed by a stop and TIFF, and now the first trailer has landed. Starring Hugh Jackman as Gary Hart, it follows the presidential hopeful who got caught up in a sex scandal, causing a tabloid ruckus, one of the first of its kind.
“This is a movie with a dozen different points of view. And you can already see in the trailer, you’re going to be observing this story from every perspective,” Reitman told EW. “When I heard the Gary Hart story for the first time, I couldn’t believe it had happened. And I couldn’t believe no one had made a movie about it yet.
