With a worldwide gross of over $200 million, we always knew a sequel was in order for WB’s 2011 hit comedy Horrible Bosses — it was just a matter of when. Directed by Seth Gordon, who confirmed his return last summer, the original film had a concept that could easily be repeated with a new set of bosses stepping in for Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey, and now the studio is moving forward with its follow-up.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, not only will the trio of Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis return, but a deal is underway for Jamie Foxx (aka Dean “Motherf*cker” Jones) to come back. While there’s room for Aniston and Spacey to still make a small cameo, there will be a whole new set of terrible bosses for our gang to deal with.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who wrote the first sequel and have both Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone coming this year, will also be returning to script. Gordon recently proved he perhaps needs a worthy script to craft something memorable, as his Identity Thief didn’t live up to critical expectations, so we’re glad this duo is back. A summer shoot is in the cards, so expect a release in 2014 for this sequel.

Are you a fan of the original? Who would you like to see play the bosses this time around?
