Being unfamiliar with Richelle Mead‘s hit book series, I would have easily let the upcoming film Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters pass by without a moment’s notice. But looking at the credit list, I have to be at least curious. After crafting two of the sharpest high school comedies, brothers Daniel Waters (Heathers) and Mark Waters (Mean Girls), writer and director, respectively, have united for the project.
This first look doesn’t exactly set this one apart from the various other vampire/creature YA adaptations, but I’ll have my eye on it when it releases. Check out the trailer below for the film starring Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Danila Kozlovsky, Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland, Joely Richardson, Cameron Monaghan, Sami Gayle, Claire Foy and Ashley Charles.
Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters arrives on February 14th, 2014.
