Various studios announced a handful of new movies that will be released in 2011:
- Contagion: Steven Soderbergh‘s virus thriller starring Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Marion Cotillard will be releases October 21 in 3D.
- Final Destination 5: though no actor’s, director, or fate of 3D has been announced it will be released August 26
- Journey to the Center of the Earth 2: Only rumors have surrounded who will be returning to this movie, including Brendan Frasier, on September 23
- New Years Eve: The follow up to Valentine’s Day will be released December 9
- Red Riding Hood: The Twilight directors follow-up starring Amanda Seyfied is out April 22
