The hype machine for Guillermo Del Toro’s monster movie Pacific Rim has churned out plenty of trailers and updates (both good, and bad) over the last year. As if sci-fi fans and summer movie goers weren’t excited enough, another image for the film was released to whet their appetites.
Total Film posted a shot of the film’s news footage, which features the overhead view of a footprint produced by a rampaging Kaiju, one of the giant creatures that rise from the sea to wreak havoc on land. If anything, it reestablishes the grand scale of the monsters, who go up against some equally huge robots in a battle over Earth. See image below:

Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinjo Kikuchi, Ron Perlman and Charlie Day. It hits theaters on July 12th.
