With production officially kicking off last week for Todd Phillips‘ final entry into his comedy trilogy, The Hangover III, if its anything like the last shoot, there are bound to be surprises. John Goodman is set as our lead villain, but I’d have to imagine Phillips has a few cameos in store and while this is a minor addition, Variety reports another actor joining the ensemble.
They reveal that Alcatraz actor Jonny Coyne will be reteaming with Warner Bros. after having a role in the studio’s upcoming Gangster Squad. No telling who he plays here, but he’ll join Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis in the film that is short on synopsis for now, but sees the wolfpack embark on some sort of roadtrip.
We’ve also got our first glimpse of that trip today with a new set photos. While these do nothing more than to serve as an indication that things are underway, we see our main gang, as well as the wife characters played by Gillian Vigman, Jamie Chung and Sasha Barrese. There’s also a peek at Galifianakis wearing some sort of iPod-like device, but that’s all for now. Also starring Ken Jeong, Heather Graham and Jeffrey Tambor, check out a selection below from BuzzSugar/EntertainmentWise.
The Hangover Part III arrives on May 24th, 2013.
