In fairness, it’s like asking who wants to get made fun of for the next four years. But, in fairness to the fairness, it’s also asking who wants to be even more rich for the next forever.

Paramount has a couple of ideas on who should take over what will surely become the G.I. Joe franchise (oh franchise, I remember when I liked the word).

Here’s the list. Be warned, it’s short and lacking something that rhymes with smalent [Latino Review]:

Jaume Collet Serra (House of Wax, Orphan, Unknown)

F Gary Gray (Be Cool, Law Abiding Citizen)

John Chu (Step Up 2 The Streets, Step Up 3D, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never)

Yep, that’s it. Three directors who have yet to really prove themselves. Wait, nevermind, Gray directed The Italian Job. Wait, no, I take it back, that mediocre movie’s criminally overrated. My vote’s Serra because he’s from Barcelona, which is a city I’ve always wanted to visit and the title of a very good Whit Stillman film. Oh, by the way, he’s got a new movie coming out this year (Damsels in Distress, with Adam Brody). See that instead of G.I. Joe 2. Please?

What do you think of this list? What did you think of the first G.I Joe?
