With The Conjuring and The Purge, both made on small budgets, tearing up the summer box-office last year, 2014 will be bringing more of the genre to go toe-to-toe with the major blockbusters. Deliver Us From Evil will touch down in early July, then a few weeks later we’ll have The Purge: Anarchy. We already got a fairly lame teaser trailer for the latter, but tonight the full-length one has arrived.
Featuring the return of writer-director James DeMonaco, Ethan Hawke is out, but Frank Grillo will take the lead in the film that actually tells a different story from the same night, where punishment for crime is eradicated. It seems as this one takes this outside of a house and on to the streets, with Grillo serving as sort of a vigilante. Check it out below, along with the poster, for the film also starring Michael K. Williams, Carmen Ejogo, Jasper Cole, Zoe Borde, Zack Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, and Chad Morgan.
The Purge: Anarchy hits theaters on July 18th.
