If there was any doubt, Terrence Malick is definitely in production on his next feature, despite no word yet on when we’ll see his completed Ben Affleck-starring drama To the Wonder. We got a glimpse of Natalie Portman and Christian Bale on the set of Knight of Cups last week and now a new actress has emerged from the woodwork.
Cate Blanchett has been spotted on set, in complete scrubs. Although we have no inkling of plot details, this does give an indication of some hospital location in the film that also is said to star Isabel Lucas, but she has yet to be spotted. Malick’s other film, previous titled Lawless, also stars Portman, Bale and Blanchett, as well as Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara and Haley Bennett.
In other highly-anticipated independent film first looks, we’ve got the first images from the set of Spike Jonze‘s feature follow-up to Where the Wild Things Are. While the female cast, including Olivia Wilde, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara and Samantha Morton, has yet to spotted on the untitled film, we’ve got a look at Adams’ The Master co-star Joaquin Phoenix on set. Sporting a moustache, all we really know about this one is that he plays a man who falls in love with the voice of a Siri-esque computer.
