UPDATE: Germain from /Film heard from Fox that the image above is a “work in process & not approved.” There are other rumors that more official images will be hitting today, so expect further updates.
While we haven’t seen the finished trailer and director Matthew Vaughn is undergoing some reshoots, we finally have the first official cast image from X-Men: First Class. The Daily Blam has premiered the image, which you can see above. It features part of the large cast including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz, and Bill Bilner.
Synopsis: X-Men First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
X-Men: First Class hits theaters on June 3, 2011.
