Though it still be a summer away, EW has a first look at what star Ryan Reynolds will look like after his mo-cap superhero suit is rendered on the silver screen (via Screen Rant):
Apparently, there’s been some hate as to the look of Hal Jordan’s super-look. That it strays from the comics and looks too fake and CG and alien.
I totally disagree. I love the look of the costume and am considerably more excited to see Martin Campbell’s film because of it. Granted, the most important effect-rendering (how Reynolds’ live-action head will look fly around in the mo-cap suit) remains to be seen, but this costume gives me some hope. All of this said, I’ve never been a devout Green Lantern fan and know relatively little about the character’s world.
Hopefully Comic-Con will restore fans’ faith and offer some enticing visuals to boot.
