Even with ParaNorman from the Coraline team, Pixar’s Brave and Aardman’s Pirates! A Band of Misfits, another big-budget animation has me more curious. From frequent Futurama director Rich Moore, Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph has a voice-cast that includes John C. Reilly, Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer and Sarah Silverman. For anyone that has every played a videogame, the concept is frankly awesome; following a “bad-guy character in a classic game who longs to be a hero” as he “brings trouble to his entire arcade after sneaking into a new first-person shooter game and unleashing a deadly enemy.”
We’ve gotten some preliminary glimpses at our lead character, but today we have three new stills (via Cine Hero) which show off some of the world. First up is a look at the game inside the movie called Hero’s Bounty, headed by hero Sgt. Calhoun (Lynch). Ralph jumps inside this game to fight off oncoming bugs. Then there is a still of our hero, followed by what looks to be another world our lead heads into. The style here looks a bit unfinished and simple, buy Disney Animation has a ways to go before needing a full polish. Check them out below.
Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters November 12th, 2012.
