With the Focus Features as we once knew it disbanding, former CEO James Schamus has recently announced plans for his directorial debut, an adaptation of Philip Roth’s best-selling novel Indignation. Meanwhile, former co-CEO Andrew Karpen has launched a new company titled Bleecker Street and today brings the first images and poster from their debut release, Danny Collins.
The directorial debut of Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love.), the drama follows Al Pacino as an aging rocker who tries to lead a better life after receiving a lost letter that had been sent to him by his idol John Lennon more than 40 years ago. Also starring Jennifer Garner, Bobby Cannavale, Christopher Plummer, and Annette Bening, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw this one pop up on the Sundance slate. Thanks to IMDb, check out the first images and poster above and below for the film arriving this March.
Danny Collins opens on March 20th, 2015.
