Update: The official trailer is now live!
Oh, how I hate Entertainment Tonight. They take trailers for highly-anticipated films, cut them up and leave them in shreds with their annoying voice-overs. The latest is Steven Soderbergh‘s Contagion. The trailer will hit very soon, but we get our first glimpse at footage for the film which weaves multiple narratives as a virus impacts the world.
The cinematography looks more reminiscent of The Informant! (without the heavy orange hues), and not so much Traffic, which this narrative is being compared to. It is nice to see our cast including Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kate Winslet. But if you are truly anticipating this one, I recommend to just check back for the trailer. If you want to see the footage, check it out below via Bleeding Cool.
Synopsis:
“Contagion” follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.
Scripted by Scott Z. Burns, Contagion hits theaters September 9th, 2011.
