Could it be? We sincerely apologize for flooding your feeds the last few months, as Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises announced its massive ensemble cast, in what seemed like one by one. Variety now reports that we have our last casting announcement for the currently-shooting project. With Nolan’s secrecy, I sincerely hope that they are correct and a few more won’t get out of the bag. Then again, a surprise in this know-it-all information age would be quite nice.
The trade reports that Josh Stewart, star of The Collector and No Ordinary Family, as well as a role in David Fincher‘s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has joined the cast in an unknown role. I remember him as an accomplice in the beginning of Law Abiding Citizen, but this is definitely the actor’s largest film yet. Then again, it is probably the largest film for anyone in the cast.
Stewart joins that cast including Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, and Chris Ellis.
The Dark Knight Rises hits IMAX theaters on July 20th, 2012 and don’t expect it at Comic-Con this year.
What have you seen Stewart in? Are you as happy as I am there will be no more casting announcements?
