Universal has bought the script for TMI (which concerns “the comic premise is that while honesty is the best policy for a relationship, ‘too much information’ might not be the best thing“) with the intention of Anna Faris and Ryan Reynolds starring.
This news marks these two stars’ first movie together since 2005’s Just Friends, a surprisingly funny, surprisingly underrated slapstick comedy. So another comedy, with a similarly goofy, romantic premise, doesn’t sound like too bad a thing at all. Both Reynolds and Faris have a knack for comedy based in their physical mannerisms and reactions to each other.
Andrew Panay is set to produce along with Jonathon Komack Martin. Reynolds will also executive producer, Martin and Reynolds parterning up to make Dark Trick Films.[Variety]
However, this project will have to wait until The Green Lantern finishes, at the earliest.
