Comedian actor Dan Fogler recently spoke to Moviehole and said that Fanboys director Kyle Newman has an idea for a possible sequel, and that it would revolve around the characters attempting to crash the set of Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Fogler also went on to say, “If you want to do it right, do it independently”, which is obviously a reference to the post-production problems.
Fanboys in my eyes was somewhat disappointing, it wasn’t by any means bad, but it wasn’t as good as it should have been. It was enjoyable, but it felt very episodic and repetitive. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to finance the movie after the first film didn’t do so well, but I am sure Fanboys will pick up a cult following so it could possibly happen.
