Collider reports the man behind Mr. and Mrs. Smith will be directing Warner Bros. 3D adaptation to The Three Musketeers. The director, Doug Liman, was in negotiations back in the beginning of April while still being attached to direct Attica Uprising.
Reports say that this will be an adaptation much like Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes. The core story will be the same, however it will be sped up for contemporary audiences. This is partly due to ‘Holmes’s producer, Lionel Wigram, is producing ‘Musketeers’ as well. This is the third classic tail he would produce, the other being a planed adaptation of Treasure Island.
Do you think ‘The Three Musketeers’ needs an updated feel?
