Variety is reporting today that actor Denzel Washington has rejoined Fox Studios and Tony Scott in the runaway train thriller Unstoppable. This comes two weeks after it was reported that Washington had stepped out of the role for monetary reasons.
Pre-production has resumed in Pittsburgh. Washington will play “a veteran engineer who jumps into a locomotive with a young conductor (Star Trek’s Chris Pine) to stop an unmanned runaway train loaded with toxic cargo. The Mark Bomback script is based on true events.”
I am glad to hear this. As I have stated before I am not a hater of Pelham 123 and this film definitely has potential. I have no doubt that this film will continue to hit road blocks but in the end I think we will be left with the fun Tony Scott thriller that everyone is expecting.
Do you think that is was a good decision for Washington to some back?
