Almost a week ago it was announced that Sony is still moving forward with Ghost Rider 2 and with David Goyer’s old script. Goyer’s script is about nine years old and apparently only small changes will have to be made. In a recent interview with Collider Goyer gave some details on how the new script will differ from his original draft. The main change will come from the script’s R-rated tone since this is of course a PG-13 franchise, unfortunately. Goyer’s story will remain intact and he will also be credited as a producer on the film.
While Ghost Rider was nothing more than a terrible and laughably bad movie, this actually has potential. Goyer is obviously a talented writer and maybe his script is actually good. Hopefully the next film does the concept and the character justice.
Did you like Ghost Rider? What do you think about another?
