Variety reports that longtime partners Danny McBride and Jody Hill will be doing yet another project together. Just in case you weren’t aware, Hill directed McBride in The Foot Fist Way, Observe and Report and their seminal HBO show, Eastbound and Down.
The plot at the moment is under wraps but it’s said to be an action comedy. This means that we’ll be seeing more of their trademark brand of dark humor and gritty violence. I was a little worried after the middling box-office run of Observe and Report that we wouldn’t see any more films from Hill, but this proves that he can still make them cheap enough to be greenlit.
