Ken Howard, president of the Screen Actors Guild since September 2009, has landed the role of U.S. Attorney General Harlan F. Stone in Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar. The film, working from a Dustin Lance Black (Milk) script, will stay consistent with Eastwood‘s recent projects by being produced by Imagine and Malpaso. Shooting is scheduled to begin in February. Recently, Howard has been seen in Grey Gardens, for which he won an Emmy, and he will soon be appearing on 30 Rock.

Eastwood‘s film will also star Leonardo DiCaprio (in the title role), Armie Hammer (The Social Network), Judi Dench, and Josh Lucas.
