Character posters aren’t just reserved for Hollywood’s latest tentpoles anymore, as Sony Pictures have debuted a new look at David O. Russell‘s American Hustle in the form of five new one-sheets. As the first trailer indicated, the 70’s-set production features a varied ensemble, each with strong personalities (not discounting their various hairstyles), so it’s perfectly fitting to have each of them don their own poster. Below one can see Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence each get the treatment.
The true story follows Bale as Irving Rosenfeld, a con-man from the Bronx who gets entangled with FBI agent Richie DiMaso, played by Cooper. A fictional take on the 1970s FBI sting operation, Abscam, the film also tracks Rosenfeld’s significant other and assistant Sydney (Adams) as they encounter a web of New Jersey power brokers and the Mafia. Check them out below for what’s shaping up to be one of the most entertaining films of the fall. [Moviefone]
American Hustle opens on December 13th.
