You haven’t seen Captain America: The First Avenger yet, but doesn’t that video make you want to…and more? Latino Review reports we may be getting that “more” sooner than later. Stephen McFeely & Christopher Markus, screenwriters of Joe Johnston‘s upcoming superhero film, have been hired to write the sequel already. We don’t have too many more details, only that the film will take place after The Avengers, in present day.
The sequel news shouldn’t come as a surprise, as we reported our lead Chris Evans signed on to nine (9!) Marvel films, when he was cast as Captain America. With a few Avengers, and some tie-ins with other superhero films, that still leaves room for sequels. The First Avenger also stars Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Hayley Atwell, and Samuel L. Jackson. It will see a release on July 22nd, 2011.
