Chris Sparling, screenwriter of Sundance sensation Buried, will have his next project, ATM, fast tracked to production. The Safran Co. and Gold Circle Films have picked up the script and brought on short film auteur David Brooks to direct [Variety].
The premise of the film involves three co-workers who find themselves fighting for their lives after a routine stop at an ATM. Enigmatic and intriguing.
Chris Sparling’s previous work Buried was the beneficiary of a bidding war following its success at Sundance this year, getting picked up by Lionsgate. David Brooks, whose short film Gone garnered critical praise, will make his feature directorial debut.
Peter Safran and Paul Brooks are the producers of the film, scheduled to shoot this fall.
Will this be as successful as Buried? Any thoughts on the stars?
