Bruce Campbell, one of the most hilarious fun B-actors out there today, decided to sit at his keyboard recently and leak some top secret news about one of his upcoming films.  He puts himself at personal harm to let us know about the upcoming sequel to his not so great self inspired comedy My Name is Bruce.  Here is the news straight from AICN:

Hello everyone. Bruce Campbell here. This urgent message is short, because my keystrokes are monitored and I fear for my life. My partner at Dark Horse comics, Mike Richardson (normally a very rational and talented man), threatened to have his foot soldiers “crush my spleen” if I did what I am about to do. But the fans deserve to know, so with great trepidation I officially announce Bruce Vs. Frankenstein, the sequel to My Name is Bruce. Principal photography begins this fall in Oregon. I’d like to live long enough to see the cameras roll, so please, for the love of God, do not tell anyone – I can’t risk this announcement getting back to Mike! Thank you.

So let’s do him a favour and not talk about this just so his partner won’t hurt him since we all eventually want him to do another Evil Dead and Bubba Hotepp film.

In all honesty this isn’t good news for me.  Bruce Campbell is great as a cheesy guy who knows how to make fun of himself in all of those really bad movies he’s made in his days of going from flick to flick just to get paid.  I remember a couple years ago when I first heard of My Name is Bruce and someone explained exactly what the movie was going to be about and I got all excited, and then months later I saw it and was massively disappointed at how bad it really was (like most other Campbell films are).  Now to hear that he’s going to be doing this as opposed to a sequel to one of his better horror comedies makes me sad.  We’ll always have Burn Notice to look forward to though (which comes back to TV on Jan 21, 2010).

Do you have any hopes for a sequel to My Name is Bruce?
