We will have to rely on Jon Favreau, Steven Spielberg and Jim Sheridan for our Daniel Craig fix the next few years. James Bond 007 producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions have announced that production on the 23rd Bond film has halted. It was set to be released next year or 2012. Check out their quote below via ComingSoon.
“Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on ‘Bond 23’ indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of ‘Bond 23’.
It’s a shame the longest running film series in history has been put to a stop, but after the disappointing Quantum of Solace I’m all for it. Daniel Craig has some fantastic looking projects up ahead and I’d much rather see him branch out.
Are you upset we won’t see a Bond for a few more years?
