/Film is reporting that Blade director Stephen Norrington, who has been in “director jail” since 2003’s abomination The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, apparently has a new script he will be developing before he moves forward with his planned reboot of The Crow franchise. The film is titled The Lost Patrol and is being produced by Legendary Pictures – the same Legendary Pictures behind Watchmen and The Dark Knight. The plot of the film according to THR is a “supernatural action thriller set against the backdrop of World War II.” Norrington will reportedly be re-writing the script which was originally written as a spec by Andrew Hilton, and rewritten by Matt Cirulnick. Norrington said that the film pushes all his “geek buttons” and contains “hardware, heroes, grime, insane monsters.” Check back with The Film Stage for more on this developing project.
