Here is one comedy to get very excited for. Zombieland‘s Ruben Fleischer will be directing 30 Minutes or Less with Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down, Pineapple Express) to star. Now THR reports that Parks & Recreation star Aziz Ansari will be joining the cast. We also got a few new details on the Black List script, written by Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan. The story “revolves around a junior high history teacher (Ansari) and a pizza-delivery man who are forced to rob a bank when one of them is strapped to a bomb vest.”
I loved Fleischer’s style in Zombieland and I’ve adored Danny McBride in everything he’s done from Hot Rod to Observe and Report, which Ansari also appeared in. Ansari has recently become one of my favorite comedians with his hilarious stand-up Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening and his great performance in this season of Parks & Recreations. He will also be in Get Him To The Greek this June.
30 Minutes or Less will start production this summer.
