I think our own Nick Newman put it aptly when he said the new X-Men: First Class posters are “the worst thing to happen to Magneto since the Holocaust.” Released last night on the official Facebook page, the posters have been the talk of the internet today due to their shoddiness. In an effort to get it off of the top of their newsfeed, we have a new image, and much better piece of promotional material.

Last week we saw Kevin Bacon as Shaw, the leader of decadent mutant bastards, The Hellfire Club and January Jones as accomplice Emma Frost cool off. Now we have a fiery new image of Havok, played by Lucas Till. We have no idea what is exactly going on, but you can check it out above. If you dare, glance below for the posters from Matthew Vaughn‘s upcoming summer blockbuster.

The cast also include James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz, and Bill Bilner.

Synopsis: X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

X-Men: First Class will hit theaters June 3rd, 2011.
