Disney have announced plans to remake the 1986 cult him Flight of The Navigator. While not a big box office success it gained a cult following on video. Returning as an executive producer of the original film is John Hyde. Brad Copeland has been hired to write the script, his only feature film is Wild Hogs, but he has written for hit shows such as Arrested Development and My Name is Earl.
I vaguely remember Flight of The Navigator from my childhood. I recall seeing it, but it never quite stuck to me. A remake isn’t a terrible idea, but this will probably wind up as another dismal misfire like Race to With Mountain.
Is remaking Flight of The Navigator a bad idea?
